“Radical” Ron Turner was a SoCal hotshoe in the 70’s and 80’s winning races at the various tracks that made up the moto scene in the early days of the sport. During that time it was not uncommon for Turner to race 3-4 times a week earning more than 900 victories along the way.
He was part of the El Cajon zone of riders that included riders like Marty Tripes, Broc Glover and a young Rick Johnson. He raced the AMA Nationals from 1976 until the late 80’s and earned 19 top 10 overall finished for his efforts. During his career, he spent 11 years testing motorcycles for Suzuki, another 10 with Honda and a couple with Cagiva.
