LEGENDS AND HEROES HONOREE - ST LOUIS SUPERCROSS 2018
Joe started racing motocross in 1972 aboard a Yamaha DT175. In those days you would replace the lights that came on the bikes with number plates and head out to the track. His first race was at Freddy Vans Cycle Land on the Kansas/Missouri border.
Joe moved up the ranks quickly racing a Suzuki Cyclone 400 for BJ Suzuki when he was only 14 and then found success on Can-Am and then Maico’s. He began racing for Donnell’s Suzuki in Kansas City and raced under their banner for 11 years winning multiple King of Kansas City Championships and the Houston Astrodome GNC in the 250 Expert class.
Following his motocross career, Joe started racing vintage motocross winning the MOVMX series in 2010 and 2011.
Joe's Historical 1974 Can-Am from his Trans-Am series will be on display this Saturday at the Legends and Heroes Moto Museum display.
